The OG of BBQ types, charcoal offers that raw, man-plus-fire experience and a smoked flavour that is hard to replicate with gas.
As with Gas BBQs, there are many different types and styles across the price range, with small super simple grills available at the sub one-hundred pounds level, up to larger capacity and more involved grills costing several thousand. Generally speaking however, charcoal grills cost less than their gas counterparts and whilst quick burning fuel types have become better, you'll typically need to add on 20 mins to get your coals up to the right temperature (a process we quite enjoy here at The Outdoor Grill Co.. ).
